As shown by its name, this is the biggest bamboo in the world. So that, it is widely cultivated all over the world for admiring its giant feature.

Diameter is 18-25cm and 30m high, that is really giant.
Even though the origin is unknown, but said to be southern Myanmer or northwestern Thailand.
Culm is good to use for construction materials and for many kinds of bamboo products.
Also, it is sidely cultivated as ornamental plantations and erosion control.
