Kyoto Rakusai Bamboo Park

This grows natively in Taiwan.

Size is 7-9cm in diameter, 15-18m in height, which is large sized bamboo.

Just after culm sheath fell out, the color of culm is beautiful like spreading white powder waxed.
This white powder is easily taken out when touched then pure green appears.

It is rare to be planted in Japan, but can be seen in botanical gardens and parks.

Quarity of culm is good as well as that of Phy. bambusoides, as this was imported in large quantities when Phy. bambusoides had met flowering dead in 1970's.
